STUDY. STUDY. STUDY.

I've decided to continue writing my Peter Pan stories.
Probably because I miss Wendy too much.

Anyway, looks like I have to minimise my writings because after seeing how "well" I did for my exams, I will have to really really really study very hard and work my brains out for the next 4 months. The scary thing is that June is almost over!

My sister is so semangat to do well in her PMR. I asked her why and she said "I don't want to be embarassed because you did well and if I don't, people will think I'm dumb and why you did so so well and I didn't".

Haha, the power of an older sibling!
Besides, its not like she hides under the spotlight. Its me that gets compared to her when it comes to looks. Rasa kan, Rachel!
At least now you know how it feels like when people compare me and you!

Ok, that aside. I have to keep telling myself these words:
STUDY. STUDY. STUDY.

But I can't bring myself to study cause I'm a lazy garfield who hates to work hard for the things she's forced to work hard for.
I'm having it too easy these days.

Almost everyday.

Two teenaged girls laughing for no reason.
Nice.

It all started on Saturday in church when I came back all sweaty from jogathon. Me, Alison, Sheralyn, Eugene, Jason and Samuel were cracking jokes and sharing funny stories. Gosh, that image of Jason doing the gorilla is still stuck in my head! Should have taken a video.

Too bad my phone is still in the shop.

There goes my Taylor Swift.
There goes my Bealtes.
There goes my Beach Boys.

Well, I'm just happy that my life is back in order. And yes, I am NOT attached.
And NOT in love.

Please lah, I'm all ready to score so well in my SPM!!!!!
Can't wait for this Youth Fellowship, I'll probably end up with a sore throat.

God zaps you, but it takes baby steps

YF Rocks, man! HAHA. This picture was taken after worship practice. As you can see, all of us are pointing at Uncle Nie cause of his blur look - though the fact that Sharma shook the camera could have partly caused the blur.
And Josiah sesat cause he's pointing at us, crazy youths.

L-R : Sheralyn, Joanna, Ping, Samuel, me, Rach, Alison, Uncle Nie. And Josiah at the back.
Oh well, that wasn't what I was gonna blog about. That was just sidetrack only.

Ps. David Goh preached today. Whoa, one of the toughest messages I've heard. I won't tell you what was it about but it caused quite a stirring.

Then came altar call.

At first I felt nothing. Just singing with my hands lifted up. But when I started praying in tongues, I boo-hooed major. Ask Josiah and Jess Kan ( who were beside me ), and they'll tell you. Then I saw this image in my mind. A large mirror was infront of me and I was looking at it and for the first time, I did not ridicule, condemn, annoy and crush myself because of what was staring back at me.

So many of you know that I have a problem with self-image.

I always compare myself to my sister cause she's so hot and all and everybody says she's a model, doll, cute, pretty, natural beauty, blah, blah, blah...

That there was one point in my life that I felt so crushed that I didn't like her and started treating her badly.

Gosh, I sound so shallow.

And I hate being shallow.

Then I started meditating on Proverbs 31:30 and told myself that hey, theres so much more to me than just looks! And today was the confirmation. God zapped ME!!

I don't have to look in the mirror and hate whats staring back at me.

I don't have to keep comparing myself to my sister.

I don't have to skip my lunches and dinners like how I used to.

I feel great. Thats why its so important to LET GO and LET GOD take control of our lives.

You can really see the changes, though it won't happen overnight.

Its one step at a time.

Oh yeah, I love YF! Like I said, WE ROCK!

The most comforting thing was that after everything, Jess Kan hugged me tight and didn't let go, which made me cry even more. Then Joanna joined in and it became a little group hug. You know, honestly, I have never experienced this kind of closeness before. Alison also came to comfort me. I felt so wanted and so loved. And Jess Kan said a prayer for me.

Then theres Josiah and Aunty Fer who also followed up with me. Thanks, guys!
I'm really really beginning to tell myself that I do have true friends after all.

i'M in love with LOVE!! tee-hee!!

Do you know what I just discovered about myself?
That I'm a hopeless romantic.

My family wouldn't agree much cause they say that I'm emotion-less, but in actual fact, I am always full of emotions- just that I keep 'em to myself!

My poems are all LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.
I am not in love, okay, but I have a deep love towards matters of the heart.
I write loads of poetry and short stories and 'pretend' diary entries with love although I'm not in love. HAHA.
Like my alter ego: Jane Austen.
No wonder I love her ( God bless her soul ) soo much!

Gosh, I love LOVE!!

Mind-o my language-o ( AH SO! )

Mr. Brown said, "What do you call a group of 4 musicians?"
And Ali replied "Beatles!"

I really love this show, man! "Mind Your Language" is hillariously funny yet you also learn a thing or two about the English Language.

My favourite character would have to be Mr. Brown himself! :P
Oh yeah, I like Taro also. And Giovanni.
I first watched it in school when Pn. Judy brought the DVD to fill up the time after the exams. The whole library was laughing, man. Plus, its also a mini U.N. and every character from different countries has its own dialect.
Then Josiah burnt a copy from Aunty Fer and lent it to me, so my whole family has been watching it. Mind you, I wasn't even born at that time when this show first came out, I think.
Right now, I have a new history interest. From Victorian era to Ancient China, now I have switched to the Elizabethan era.
Queen Elizabeth the first, daughter of King Henry the eighth and Anne Boleyn.
Also known as the Virgin Queen.
Oh well. I'm sure all of you wouldn't want to scroll down anymore if I went on about Her Majesty, so I'll save that piece of knowledge to myself! HEHEHE.
Yay! Can't wait for YF tommorow.
Better bring my camera cause its Alie's birthday!
:P

GDOP and some....questionable photos??

Last Sunday, we went for the Global Day Of Prayer at SIBKL. Man, I've never prayed that much for my country before! Before that, the girls (me, Joanna, Jessica, Alison and PING!!) had a fun 'ladies fellowship' in the little yellow car ( as Josiah said..) while on the way there. When girls get together, we really can't stop talking!

When we reached there and was briefed about the flags ( we were flag bearers), all of us ( Sharma, Josiah, me, Joanna, Jessica, Alison, PING!! and Sheralyn ) went for a bite at the mamak stall downstairs. Well, this was the first time I saw Sharma finish a roti canai in 10 seconds flat! Greedy fella!

From L-R : Josiah, me, Alison, Joanna, Jessica, Sheralyn and PING!!!
Posing in the lift. Sharma took the photo. Notice that we all have bright toothy smiles?? :P

Well, before we had a bite, we were going crazy and taking photos. That would explain, the...ermmm...questionable photo if you scroll down.

L-R: Sharma, Jess, Josiah, PING!!, and Joanna
These people are super sick, man! The guys are...what you would call, "tinkling" and the girls are constipating. At least Alison, Sheralyn and I had some "harga diri". HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....No lah, people, just joking.... but it was fun!

Once we reached the sanctuary, we got down into business praying for the country and waving our flags ( at least me and Jess did ). Have to get the photos from Aunty Fer.
P/S : Ping, you wanted your name bolded, large and coloured right?? There you have it!
Hope we will have more fun times like this!
WE ROCK!
